Everyday fun

Just some everyday fun in the driveway. Currently the favorite activities include bike riding, golf, and of course the swingset!

Birthday Party

We had all the kids from our Play group over for a Birthday party/playdate. We had a crowded house with 7 moms and 16 kids. I think everyone had a good time. We played in the pool and sprinklers, had lunch and ate cake. I was just going to make some cupcakes but Alexa insisted on the castle cake. She was a little disappointed it wasn't as elaborate as last years but I just didn't want to do the whole thing again. Oh well she got her castle cake.

Swimming Lessons

Alexa in her first ever swimming lessons. She is doing great! We've had four classes and she is loving it. I thought she would hate swimming and love soccer but it seems to be the opposite.

Soccer

Alexa played soccer through Fort Wayne Parks and Rec. She seemed excited about it but when we got there she was less then thrilled. She wanted to wear the soccer shirt everyday but when it came down to playing she was a little overwhelmed. We had one practice on a rainy day and very few kids showed up. She did great that day. The next practice was HOT and she got head butted and that was the end of that.

Drive In Movie

We went to the Drive In to see Up. We had a great time. The movie didn't even start until 9:30 but the girls both made it to the end. We will definitely do this again!

Cedar Point

Cedar Point! We had a great time. We were there all day and the girls did great!

We rode tons of rides. Emily was a little daredevil. Multiple times during the day she said "It's not scary, its fun!" For several rides Emily had to go first and try it out then Alexa would get on. The favorite ride was the frog hopper. They each rode it several times.

Toledo Zoo

We had a short vacation to the Toledo zoo and Cedar Point. We had a great time. The zoo was very crowded. We weren't overly impressed. They had a few cool exhibits including the Polar Bears and the Hippos but overall the place was kind of old and not very exciting. It didn't help that we picked the day the whole county gets in for free to go. It was really hot and crowded. Overall the girls like it though.

A trip to the zoo with Grandpa

Grandpa Miller came to visit for two days. We had a good time playing and going to the zoo.

Playgroup Playground Fun
